Ansley Quiros

Ansley L. Quiros​ is an assistant professor of history at the University of North Alabama, specializing in​ twentieth-century ​U.S. History, w​ith a focus on race, politics, and religion. Her first book,​ G​od With Us: Lived Theology and the Freedom Struggle in Americus, Georgia, 1942-1976 ​(University of North Carolina Press, 2018) e​xamines the struggle over race and Christian theology in Southwest Georgia.

She is an author of a chapter on Florence Jordan for our book People Get Ready: Twelve Jesus-Haunted Misfits, Malcontents, and Dreamers in Pursuit of Justice.
