Ansley Quiros
Ansley L. Quiros is an assistant professor of history at the University of North Alabama, specializing in twentieth-century U.S. History, with a focus on race, politics, and religion. Her first book, God With Us: Lived Theology and the Freedom Struggle in Americus, Georgia, 1942-1976 (University of North Carolina Press, 2018) examines the struggle over race and Christian theology in Southwest Georgia.
She is an author of a chapter on Florence Jordan for our book People Get Ready: Twelve Jesus-Haunted Misfits, Malcontents, and Dreamers in Pursuit of Justice.
