Woolworth’s Lunch Counter Sit-In

Ed King’s account of the May 28, 1963 Woolworth’s lunch counter sit-in. Three Black student activists sat peacefully at the counter and were met with violence from a virulent mob. This document describes the violence, hatred, and similar responses from local Christian leaders.
