Closing Conversation – Concrete Implications for Public Policy and Church Activism

Posted on March 26, 2015 by PLT Staff

Recording of a discussion led by Timothy Gorringe and Heidi Neumark at the end of the Spring Institute for Lived Theology 2006 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Gorringe and Neumark share their final thoughts on politics, built environment, the role of the media in bringing attention to housing and community activism, and other topics in a final discussion.

Excerpt: “One of the things that I found very hopeful recently has been the movement of particularly Latino immigrants in the rallies that have taken place around the country…. It’s something that people haven’t been doing at that level for quite a while…. It is clearly requiring a response, pressing against business as usual, and I think that’s very hopeful.”
