Richard Lischer
Richard Lischer is the James T. and Alice Mead Cleland Professor Emeritus of Preaching at Duke Divinity School. His areas of interest include the interactions of preaching, politics, and contemporary culture, practical theology, and ministry. He has authored many books, including The Preacher King: Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Word that Moved America and Reading the Parables, which was named one of the Top 10 books for parish ministry in 2014 by the Academy of Parish Clergy. Lischer received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 from the Academy of Homiletics, and his work has been twice anthologized in Best Christian Writing.
