LaVerne Stokes

LaVerne Stokes is the co-executive director of Sandtown Habitat for Humanity in West Baltimore. She was born in 1952, grew up in Sandtown and has been there her entire life. In her work with Sandtown Habitat she has facilitated the rebuilding of more than 200 homes.

Stokes served as a consultant for the Lived Theology and Community Building Workgroup meeting one and the Spring Institute for Lived Theology 2006.
