Dolphus Weary
Dolphus Weary was one of the first black students to attend and graduate from the all-white Los Angeles Baptist College. He went on to obtain many other advanced degrees relating to ministry, including four honorary doctoral degrees. For decades, Dolphus has spoken on college campuses, in churches, seminaries and conferences around the country. He is the former executive director and president of Mission Mississippi, a racial reconciliation ministry that encourages unity within the Body of Christ.
Weary was a consultant for the Lived Theology and Race Workgroup Meeting Two in 2001.
