Bob Moses
Bob Moses, who died in July 2021, served as president and founder of the Algebra Project, which is devoted to improving minority education in math. He was also a pivotal organizer for the civil rights movement as field secretary for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), director of SNCC’s Mississippi Project, and a driving force behind the Mississippi Summer Project of 1964, which organized the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party.
Moses was a speaker at the 2003 Conference on Lived Theology and Civil Courage.
