Don Davis

Director of Urban Ministry Institute (World Impact, Inc.). B.A. Biblical Studies, (Wheaton College); M.A. Systematic Theology, (Wheaton Graduate School); Ph.D. Religion, (University of Iowa School of Religion).

Dr. Don Davis, an ordained minister and native of Wichita, Kansas, is the Director of World Impact's Urban Ministry Institute, a research and training center dedicated to equipping leadership for the urban church among the underprivileged in America's neediest urban communities. He currently serves the national office of World Impact as vice-president of Leadership Development in training urban missionaries and urban pastors in pioneer missions.

In the past, Dr. Davis has served churches as associate and senior pastors, served as Director of World Impact Wichita, as well as its Vice-president of Education, giving oversight for its four Christian schools in Los Angeles, Watts, Philadelphia, and Newark. A recipient of numerous teaching and academic awards, he has taught at Wheaton College, St. Ambrose University, the Houston Graduate School of Theology, the University of Iowa School of Religion, and other academic institutions. He is a presenter in numerous academic and lecture settings, including theological consortiums and events as the Staley Lecture series and Promise Keepers' rallies.

Dr. Davis has been married to Elizabeth for 26 years, and they have three children, Matthew (24), Joanna (20), and Daniel (16).
